- Personal Identity & KYC Data: Full name, date of birth, gender, and portrait photos. For identity and security verification (KYC), we collect government-issued identifiers including Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, or Driving License.
- Contact Information: Mobile phone numbers (primary verification method), email addresses, and home/business physical addresses.
- Financial Information: Bank account numbers, IFSC codes, UPI IDs, GSTINs (for employers), and transaction logs required to coordinate payments and escrow releases.
- Geolocation Data: Precise real-time coordinates from your mobile device (essential for local matching and attendance verification).
- Device & Usage Data: IP addresses, unique device identifiers (IMEI/MAC), operating system versions, and in-app action analytics.
2. How We Use Data
We utilize the collected data as a Data Fiduciary to maintain, optimize, and secure our Platform. Primary usage includes:
- Matching local workers with shift openings based on skills, availability, employer ratings, and distance.
- Powering the behind-the-scenes intelligent assistant to search, parse, and match opportunities in regional Indian languages.
- Processing automated KYC checks via secure third-party partners to prevent identity theft and fraud.
- Triggering instant payouts and escrow operations upon QR check-out verification.
- Sending push notifications, shift alerts, safety guidelines, and operations support desk updates.
3. Geolocation Sharing
Because Opins matches workers with nearby shifts, real-time location data is a core component of the Platform:
- Background Tracking: With your permission, we track device coordinates to suggest jobs within travel zones. You can disable this in system settings, though it will limit match automation.
- Sharing with Employers: When a worker accepts a shift, their live coordinates may be shared with the matching employer to coordinate check-in and arrival.
- Attendance Verification: Geolocation coordinates are cross-checked with the employer's physical address during QR check-in and check-out to verify shift attendance.
4. Security Measures
We enforce reasonable security practices and procedures to protect your personal and sensitive data:
- All communications are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS protocols.
- KYC documentation and bank accounts are tokenized and processed via vetted third-party vendors.
- Continuous vulnerability scanning and perimeter monitoring protect against database intrusions.
- Limitation of Liability for Data Breaches: Neither the Company nor its Founders shall be liable for data breaches, leaks, or loss of information arising from force majeure events, hacking, or third-party vendor failures beyond reasonable control.
5. Your Privacy Rights
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you possess specific statutory rights regarding your personal records:
- Right of Access & Summary: Request a summary of the personal data being processed and the identities of third parties with whom it has been shared.
- Right of Correction & Completion: Edit or correct inaccurate contact, identity, or payout coordinates at any time via the app profile dashboard.
- Right of Erasure: Terminate your account and request complete erasure of personal records, subject to active financial and tax record retention laws.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time, which will result in the suspension of matching services.
6. Updates to Policy
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy periodically. If we implement material modifications, we will issue alerts via push notifications, email, or prominently displaying details on the Platform homepage. Continued use of services after modifications constitutes consent.
